About Sovereign
Breeding
Sovereign was produced by Trails Ends Miniature American Shepherds and Emerald Valley Minis, Oregon, USA.
Structure
Sovereign has a nice structure, with excellent reach and drive. We showed her in Florida as a youngster and achieved BOB and G1.
Color
Sovereign is a red bicolor, with minimal white. She has one copy of dominant black (solid / bicolor) on the K-locus, so can produce puppies without tan points with any dog she is put to.
She has a copy of the AXL4 gene associated with blue eyes, and this trait can be passed down to puppies she produces, despite her having brown eyes herself.
Personality
Sovereign has a fantastic temperament and a keen work ethic. She’s extremely people-oriented and everyone is her friend. She’s goofy and enjoys playing with other dogs. She has an excellent off-switch, settling perfectly out and about or at home.
Activities
Sovereign has been busy showing as a young dog. She achieved her AKC Puppy of Achievement from showing, as well as BOB, G1 and BIS Puppy at 5 months of age.
She is now taking some time away from the show ring to mature and train in performance venues. Sovereign really enjoys FastCat and Cat and began competing in May 2023, gaining her BCAT in just 4 runs.
She has earned her AKC Trick Dog Novice, VHMA, STAR Puppy, and Canine Good Citizen.
